Ethiopia Validates New Five-Year National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan
Addis Ababa – The National Biodiversity Platform of Ethiopia has officially validated the country's new National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP). The validation by the Platform's General Assembly marks a critical milestone in Ethiopia's commitment to conserving its rich biodiversity.
The new NBSAP outlines a comprehensive five-year framework for action. Key institutions acknowledged for their role in developing the strategy include the dedicated working teams, the Project Planning and Implementation Team, and the NBP Executive Committee.
The plan now moves into the implementation phase, with a call for all federal and regional institutions to mainstream its objectives. Success will be driven by a "Whole of Government - Whole of Society" approach, ensuring collaborative effort across all sectors to translate the strategy into tangible results.
